Julius Robberts - General Manager / Director of Racket Sports

Julius's tennis journey began in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1993, Julius earned the #1 South African Junior ranking in both singles and doubles. This achievement led him to the US in 1994 where he received a Division 1 scholarship to play at Middle Tennessee State University, and by his senior year, the team held the ITA National Ranking of #2! While at MTSU Julius was named Student Athlete of the Year, won a National Championship Doubles Title in the ITA All-American Championships, earned the title of College Athlete All-American, was an OVC Conference 1st Team Player, and most recently was inducted into the Student Athlete Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Julius graduated from MTSU with a Bachelor of Science Marjoing in Psychology and Minoring in Public Relations and Sociology, a Master of Arts Degree in School Psychology, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Following graduation, Julius practiced as a School Psychologist from 2001 - 2011. This time allowed Julius to hone in on one of his true loves, mental skills training - training athletes to maximize their potential through effective problem-solving skills and mental discipline. His tennis roots called him back to the court in 2009 when he joined Olde Towne / GPT as a coach and mental skills trainer and later became Director of Tennis and OTAC Co-Owner. Julius is dedicated to the purpose of the club while delivering the highest level of customer service. Julius is grateful to his parents for having the courage to set him free in search of knowledge and a better life beyond the borders of South Africa, grateful to his wife and his 4 children who provided him his greatest achievement - the title of Dad, and grateful for the opportunity to serve the Olde Towne members.
